About Me

I’m a designer, content creator and visual communicator who enjoys creating traditional and digital art.

I was born in Quito, Ecuador and moved to Canada to pursue a Master’s Degree at OCAD University to learn about the latest digital platforms, find new ways of telling stories and create amazing visual experiences.

With an experience of 10+ years, I have supported the needs of multiple print and digital creative projects. My skills include: brand development, production art, web design, UX/UI prototyping, content creation and illustration.

In recent years, I have worked with numerous art directors and project leads to conceptualize visual pieces oriented to marketing collateral, web design and social media content.

I've had the opportunity to work with brands such as: 9 Story Media Group, Bandai America, Nelvana, Marble Media, Arcade1UP, PlayMonster, and many others in the retail, media entertainment and toy industries.

My work has been published in The Toy Book magazine, Walmart GameCenter's GEEK Magazine, The Toy Insider, New York Toy Fair, Sweet Suite, TTPM and others.

Here’s what some of my managers and colleagues have to say:

““It's not often you get the pleasure to work alongside someone as talented and creative as Margarita. I had the pleasure of working with her for over three years and she has truly made those years memorable. I was particularly impressed with Margarita's ability to elevate any project, big or small. Her design skills leave nothing to be desired and she continues to learn and grow, making her a formidable team member. She is highly creative and has an innate ability to understand client needs. Margarita would be an excellent addition to any team. She is a solid individual with a stellar work ethic.””

— Inessa Radostin (Author, Creative Director & Project Manager)

““I had the pleasure to work with Margarita for over 2 years. She is a talented designer that has the ability to take complex briefs and transform them into something tangible that catches people's eyes. She uses her creativity not only on her designs but to find novel solutions to challenges. She is a strategic thinker that will share her knowledge and thoughts with a touch of humor that will make your work life memorable. Margarita would be an extraordinary addition to any team. As a side note, I am almost certain she indirectly has inspired young people to want to become designers. I highly recommend checking out her portfolio, some of her work has even been seen in Times Square.””

— Daniela Garcia (Creative Manager)

““Maggie and I studied together at OCAD in the Digital Futures Program. She is talented, hard working and always a joy to be around. She is a great communicator and organizer. We worked together on multiple projects during our time in grad school, mostly with tight deadlines and a lack of much sleep. Any organisation will be lucky to have Maggie as part of their team.””
