Legends Arcade Family Landing Web Page
Since 2001 AtGames is a well-known manufacturer and distributor of arcades, consoles, digital media and interactive entertainment. The company has active partnerships with developers like Sega and FarSight Studios for video game releases distributed along with their gaming consoles. These consoles include classics like Atari, Sega’s Genesis and other original models like their very own Legends Ultimate arcade cabinets, Bandai Namco Arcade Blast, among others.
About the Project
During early 2020, AtGames introduced their sub brand Legends Arcade Family which is a collection of consoles, arcade games, boards and joysticks which needed to be included as an additional section to the AtGames website.
The Challenge:
The Legends Arcade Family section on the At Games website consisted of a list of all the features and capabilities of their products. This product list was divided in different categories indicating specific features and game lists.
For this project, the main challenge was conceptualize a layout that would allow the user to easily access to the individual information of each product but also to be able to compare their features before making a final purchase.
To get started, the client provided a complete list of products and their individual features which was the information that needed to be included on the site:
Another requirement from the client, was to maintain the concept of a chart with all products, but to also create an alternate way to display the information of the catalog individually.
Low- Fidelity Wireframes
Following the list of features and products I was provided, I created an initial wireframe which included the information of each console in a single page. These initial wireframes distributed the information in a main landing page and individual subsections for each product’s information on a separate pop up window.
Prototyping
For the complete product list I created different colour options for the landing page prototype featuring images of each product while the second prototype showed each product’s features in an individual product’s card:
Final Prototype
The third and final prototype was a mix between the first 2 prototypes which included both a full list of products and individual cards also included at the top of the chart. Following these design guidelines and prototypes, the AtGames team developed their final version of the web page which is available HERE.
