Project Shoe Shoe

Project Shoe Shoe was an interactive design project for an interactive installation at Toronto's Bata Shoe Museum which was part of the Transmedia Immersion class at OCAD University's Digital Futures Graduate Program in 2015.

About the Project:

This interactive installation allowed the Bata Shoe Museum’s visitors to create a unique shoe design inspired in Toronto’s neighborhoods and the diversity they represent.

The Challenge

For this project, I was in charge of designing the project’s branding and designing the visuals of the interface through every step of the user flow allowing visitors to customize their own shoe designs.

The objective of this project was to bring new visitors to the BSM by engaging with local neighbourhoods and making the shoes we wear everyday more meaningful.

Exhibition Space

The museum exhibit consisted in an interaction area for users to crate their shoe designs next to a wall featuring shoes inspired by different Toronto neighbourhoods.

User Flow

As the lead graphic designer in the project, I created the interfase visuals following a process that would allow museum goers to design their own shoe inspired by different Toronto neighbourhoods. Another feature of the interfase would also let the users to upload their design and vote for their favourite pre-existing designs.
